Sponsorship & Student
Access to education is one of the fundamental rights of every child which should be delivered in a conducive and safe learning environment. With the introduction of Universal Primary Education (UPE), primary and secondary school enrolment for both girls and boys has improved substantially. However, there are thousands of children who are either out of school or are drop outs. They mostly belong to marginalized and vulnerable families and communities.
DIN Sponsorship Programes aim to provide adequate and appropriate means to those children who cannot afford to attend school. The Sponsorship for primary/secondary school students and those studying technical courses cover school fees, books, uniforms, school lunch and boarding expenses (wherever required). They will either go to the educational institutions close to their homes or avail boarding facilities.
‘Student Support Program’ executed jointly by Dream India Network & United Way Bangalore aims at supporting the higher education of deserving students who are unable to continue their studies due to financial constraints. The project ensures quality education to children; supports holistic development of college students through courses and sessions on life skills, soft skills, personality development, social responsibility, career guidance and value education; mentors and guides each student by providing moral and economical support. Currently, 1090 students are supported through this project.
