Grace Homes
for destitute men and women
DIN Grace Homes provide dignified and professional, residential care for the destitute on the streets. Our experience is that thousands of men and women live on the streets of Bangalore without basic facilities and services. They are pushed to the streets for reasons best known to them and are vulnerable to physical, emotional and social problems. The risk of destitution is exacerbated by poverty and other forms of structural inequalities. We believe in ensuring that a person who is not fully capable of self-care can maintain the highest possible quality of life, according to his or her individual preferences, with the greatest possible degree of independence, autonomy, participation, personal fulfillment and human dignity.
Each Grace Home is designed to provide shelter and best medical and supportive care to 8 destitute people, enabling them to lead dignified, active, healthy and secure lives. They are housed and provided adequate care, food, clothing, medical care and counseling. Wherever possible reintegration with families is undertaken. Hundreds of such homes are on the anvil with the support from our Ambassadors.
We could have a minimum of 3 homes in each premise. In future, we wish to establish more Grace Homes for the following categories
