Colouring the Fallen Stars
enabling quality care and support for the destitute








DIN firmly believes that destitute on the streets are stars that have fallen and their colors faded. Coloring the Fallen Stars program has been designed with an aim to re-color the Fallen Stars by providing them Quality care and Support. Reports indicates that thousands of women and men live on the streets uncared and unattended. This is a District level program wherein each district equipped with an ambulance and a cadre of volunteers headed by DIN staff who will rescue the destitute from the streets on call or through street presence and provide medical care and permanent rehabilitation. The team will also seek opportunities to reintegrate them with families (wherever possible). This program will also make use of the existing homes, facilities and resources available with the Government and other stakeholders for its enhancement.
